There are even fewer examples of this Scottish Country Dancing format, the 6-couple square set than there are of the similar 5-couple square set. As in the 5-couple square set format, the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Couples are initially as in the 4-couple square set; the 5th and 6th Couples are back-to-back in the centre, each Lady on her Partner's right, 5th Couple Facing 1st Couple, 6th Couple Facing 3rd Couple. All six Couples are involved throughout and there is usually Progression; at the end of six Repeats, the Dancers are normally back in their Original Places.
