THE ELPHINSTONE JIG (J8x32) 3C (4C set) J Drewry Deeside Bk 2

1- 8 1L+3M change places RH and dance round 2s to end on partner's right, 1s and 3s dance clockwise to end 1s facing up (3rd pl) 3s facing down while 2s advance and about turn back to places
9-16 3s+2s+1s circle 6H round and back
17-24 3s+1s set, dance RH across and 3s cast to original places while 1s dance up to top
25-32 1s+2s dance ¾ double Fig of 8 (1s cast to start) and 1s cross RH

Elphinstone is a village in East Lothian, Scotland, UK. It lies two miles south-west of Tranent on the B6414, and one mile north-west of Ormiston.

Nearby is a large Flint stone, said to be used by elves to break and carve in to arrow-heads, also said to have spiritual powers.
