Dance InformationGeneral Sir Neil Methuen Ritchie GBE, KCB, DSO, MC (1897 - 1983) was a senior British army officer during the Second World War. Ritchie's military career started in 1914 when he was commissioned as an officer in the Black Watch. After many postings during both the first and second world wars (follow link at the foot of this page for further details) he returned to his old regiment, the Black Watch as colonel in 1950. Following his retirement he emigrated to Canada. Robert M Campbell lived in Oakville, Ontario, Canada and devised this dance for General Sir Neil Ritchie, retiring Patron of the Branch.
