GILLIAN'S STRATHSPEY (S4x40) 4C set Gordon Thomson Gordons Dance Book 1

1- 8 1s+2s also 3s+4s dance Diamond Poussette
9-16 1s+2s also 3s+4s set and Petronella-in-tandem 1 place (1s+3s on Men's side and 2s+4s on Ladies), all dance ½ reels of 4 on sides
17-24 Repeat bars 9-12 but set across the set and Petronella-in-tandem to end on sides, all dance ½ reels of 4 on sides (back to original places)
25-32 1s+2s cross RH and dance ½ RH across, 1s+3s cross RH and dance ½ RH across
33-40 1s+4s dance Espagnole:
 33-34 1s+4s cross (Ladies lead across RH passing between Men) with Ladies changing places RH
 35-36 1s+4s cross back (Men lead across RH between Ladies) with Men changing places RH
 37-40 4s turn RH as 1s turn LH

This dance was devised by Gordon Thomson for Gillian Barella who taught classes in Nacton, East Suffolk (between the towns of Ipswich and Felixstowe).

Gordon danced in Suffolk and surrounding areas before he retired.
