Scottish Country Dance Instruction

THE GREEN GRANDPARENTS (J2x64) Sq.Set Ian Jamieson

1- 8 All circle 8H round to left, slowing down as though to dance back but then accelerating to keep dancing same direction to place
9-16 Double Ladies' Chain ending holding partner at arms length facing anti-clockwise
17-24 All set inwards and outwards, Men pass partner in front to other hand. all set inwards and outwards, Ladies turn under arm to meet new Man who has advanced to meet her
25-32 All Promenade with new partner to Man's original place
33-40 Repeat bars 17-24
41-48 Repeat bars 25-32 but end facing new partner
49-56 All dance Grand Chain ½ way but clapping alternate hands instead of holding hands then set
57-64 Continue 'clapping' Chain to place and turn new partner
Repeat and with original partner
