4-couple Longways set

  1-16  4-COUPLE RIGHTS AND LEFTS: all cross over with right hands (2 bars), change places with left hands (those in 1st and 2nd women's places change diagonally with those in 3rd and 4th men's places: 2 bars), all cross over with right hands (2 bars), change places with left hands (those in 1st and 2nd women's places change diagonally with those in 3rd and 4th men's places: 2 bars): on BARS 9-16 continue 4-couple rights and lefts to original places (3rd man and 2nd woman omit final polite turn and end with 1st and 4th couples facing out ready for..);

17-24 TANDEM REELS OF 3 ACROSS: dance a right shoulder reel of 3, 3rd and 2nd women in tandem at the bottom with 4th couple, 2nd and 3rd men in tandem at the top with 1st couple (those in tandem change the lead halfway through the reel);

25-32 TANDEM REELS OF 3 ACROSS: dance a left shoulder reel of 3, 2nd and 3rd women in tandem at the top with 1st couple, 3rd and 2nd men in tandem at the bottom with 4th couple (those in tandem change the lead halfway through the reel);

33-40 SET, DOWN MIDDLE, AND ALL SET: 1st couple set to each other, dance down the middle (using Highland Travelling step: optional) nearer hands joined casting into 4th place (2nd, 3rd, and 4th couple step up on 37-38) and all set.

REPEAT WITH NEW TOP COUPLE.
