Dance Information

Peggy Spouse was named in the New Year's Honour's list 2008 for her work in starting the Duns and District Branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society.

The Members of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) listing reads; "Margaret Wilson Spouse. For services to the community in Duns, Berwickshire."

Peggy helped start the Duns Scottish Country Dance branch in 1953. She taught classes from 1954 to 1989 after gaining her teacher's certificate, and was a judge at competitions until 2005, also taking summer schools at St Andrews in the 1980s.
