Scottish Country Dance Instruction

Spring Daffodils by Sue McKinnell 8X32 Jig for 3C

1-8 1C cross RH and cast to 2nd place on opposite sides as 2C step up. 1C dance a ½ figure of eight, 1W down between 3C and 1M up between 2C. 1C end shoulder-to-shoulder in the center of the dance, left hands joined, facing 1st corners.
9-16 1C set to 1st corners, turning inward toward each other to face to opposite direction and taking right hands on the second setting step. 1C end facing partner's 1st corner. 1C set to partner's 1st corner. 1C turn partner's 2nd corners LH to end shoulder-to-shoulder in the center of the dance, left hands joined, facing 2nd corners.
17-24 1C set to 2nd corners, turning inward toward each other to face to opposite direction and taking right hands on the second setting step. 1C end facing partner's 2nd corner. 1C set to partner's 2nd corner. 1C turn 1st corners LH to end in 2nd place on opposite sides.
25-32 1C dance six-bar reels of three on the sides with corners, beginning by giving RS to 2nd corners. 1C cross RH to own sides on the last two bars of the phrase.
Repeat.
