Lead Out Of The Side, CrossingThe Figure Lead out of the side, crossing is most commonly performed by a Man and a Lady who Lead Out of one Side of The set, the Lady passing in front of the Man; it is a precursor to Casting away from each other. If the Lady was on the Man's right side, they would Take Left hands when Leading Out, she would Cast to the left and he to the right; if the Lady was on the Man's left side, they would Take Right hands when Leading Out, she would Cast to the right and he to the left.
