Time AllocationsMost Figures are allocated a fixed number of bars of music and are listed without comment. Some have an alternative Time allocations; for example, Reels of three are normally performed in 8 bars but only 6 bars are allocated so that a 2 bar Figure can be fitted into the 8 bar Phrase. A few, such as Lead down and Cast have a variable allocation depending upon the distance to be Travelled; some explanation is provided under the standard allocation.
