After All These Years (It's About Time) 8x32 Strathspey for 3C by Sue McKinnell

1-8 1C and 2C dance the knot.
9-12 2C, 1C, and 3C take hands on the sides and set. 1C turn BH once round to end facing out on own sides.
13-16 1W turn 3W halfway RH then 3W turn 2W halfway LH to end in the order 3W, 2W, 1W on the women's side while 1M turn 2M halfway RH then 2M turn 3M halfway LH to end in the order 1M, 3M, 2M on the men's side.
17-24 1C, 2C, and 3C dance a three-couple bourrel:
1M and 2W, similarly 3M and 1W, set advancing to each other and turn BH halfway then away from each other to end back to back in the center of the set, woman facing up and man facing down.
Meanwhile, 3W and 2M chase a little more than halfway CCW around the set to end facing their partners.
All set to partners and turn them BH to their own sides. The ending order is 2, 1, 3.
25-32 2C, 1C, and 3C circle left and back.

Dance Information

Dan and I finally decided to marry after being together 15+ years.

This strathspey has a knot and a circle for the marriage and a 3-couple bourrel as that is the figure I created from the regular bourrel.

I wrote this during class the week we married while I was sitting out dancing and presented it later that night. My class told me this is one of my easier dances, which I find odd as it has a knot and a 3-couple bourrel.

Suggested music is Mr Robert H MacKay from Cairngorms.
