ANNIVERSARY REEL (R4x32) 4C set Sheila Muir 1987 RSCDS Book 36

1- 8 1s cross RH and cast 1 place, 1s dance ½ Fig of 8 round 2s
9-16 1L dances full reel of 3 with 2s while 1M dances ½ reel with 3s and ½ reel with 4s
17-24 1s dance LH across with 3s, 1s dance RH across (1L with 2s and 1M with 4s)
25-32 1s pass LSh to dance ½ reel of 4 with 3s, turn RH to opposite sides while 4s set advancing and 1s+4s dance RH across ½ way round to new places

  1-4   1s cross and cast;

  5-8   1s half figures of 8 round 2s;

  9-16 1M half reel of 3 with 3s and half reel of 3 with 4s WHILE 1L reel of 3 with 2s;

17-20 1L3s1M left hands across;

21-24 2s1L 1M4s right hands across, finishing with 1s passing left shoulder;

25-28 3L1L1M3M half reel of 4 across;

29-30 1s turn by the right (finishing on opposite sides) WHILE 4s set advancing;

31-32 1s4s right hands across halfway.

Dance Notes

  3-4   2s step up.

  9-16 Cover diagonally in the reels.

    -28 3s finish in 2nd place. 1s don't pass by the left at the end of the half diagonal reel but instead take right hands.

    -30 1s must finish on opposite sides and retain hold as 4s join them ready for right hands across halfway.
