Scottish Country Dance Instruction

1 - 6 1st, 2nd and 3rd couples dance six bars of "Criss, Cross and Cast".
 1 - 2 1st couple cross down to second place on opposite sides, WHILE 2nd couple cross down to third place on opposite side and face out, WHILE 3rd couple cast up to first place.
 3 - 4 3rd couple cross down to second place on opposite sides, WHILE 1st couple cross down to third place on own side and face out, WHILE 2nd couple cast up to first place.
 5 - 6 2nd couple cross down to second place on own sides, own sides, WHILE 3rd couple cross down to third place on own side, WHILE 1st couple cast up to first place
 (all are back in original positions)
7 - 8 1st couple set advance to meet in the middle of set.
9 - 12 1st couple slip step down for 2 bars and change place using setting step (2nd couple step up on bars 9 - 10).
13 - 16 1st couple slip step back to second place in the middle of set, and Set pulling back ones right shoulder to face the first corners.
17 - 20 1st couple dance two bars of "Hello Goodbye" Setting Step, then, giving left hands turn lightly over halfway to finish facing partner's second corner position, WHILE, corners wait for two bars then dance one position clockwise.
21 - 24 1st couple, turn person, in partner's second corner position right hands and 1st couple finish back-to-back in the middle facing partner's second corner position.
25 - 28 Repeat bars 17 - 20 in new positions finish facing partner's first corner position
29 - 32 1st couple turn person in partner's first corner position giving right hands and 1st couple finish in second place on their own side.
33 - 36 3rd and 2nd couples dance Half a Double Figure of Eight round 1st couple (To begin: 3rd couple crossing down) WHILE 1st couple Set for four bars (Highland Preferred by deviser)
37 - 40 All three couples giving right hands turn once round to end 3, 1, 2.

Repeat from new positions.
