Dance Information

This strathspey was devised for Mike and Eilean Yates, keen and devoted Scottish country dancers for many years, and members of the North Carolina Branch of the RSCDS.

The Yates have travelled all over the world following Mike's passion for solar eclipses.

Eilean comes from the Scottish Borders and Mike from the north of England.

An eclipse is an astronomical event that occurs when an astronomical object is temporarily obscured, either by passing into the shadow of another body or by having another body pass between it and the viewer.
