2-couple in a 3 or 4 couple Longways set

  1-8   1ST'S TURN AND CHASE: 1st couple turn once around with right hands (1st woman ends facing out), then 1st woman leads a chase casting behind 2nd woman and across to 2nd man's place, 1st man ends in 2nd woman's place (2nd couple step up on bars 7-8);

  9-16 BACK-TO-BACK AND TURN ON SIDE: dance back-to-back, 1st woman with 2nd man, 1st man with 2nd woman, ending in promenade hold;

17-24 PROMENADE ¾ AND ½ LADIES' CHAIN: 1st man with 2nd woman, 2nd man with 1st woman, promenade anticlockwise ¾ around the other pair ending 2nd man and 1st woman at the top facing down, and 1st man and 2nd woman below facing up (4 bars), then dance ½ Ladies' Chain up-and-down the dance to end with partner;

25-32 2ND'S ½ FIGURE 8 AND TURN: 2nd couple (in top place) dance ½ figure of 8 through 1st couple, then turn each other by the right hand.

Repeat from 2nd place.
