Dance Information

This strathspey, The Flower Of Glasgow, was written for Kay Munn of Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

Kay Munn learned Scottish Country Dancing at school in Glasgow, Scotland. She left Scotland in 1986 but rejoined the world of SCD in the USA where she attended classes with Terry Glasspool (deviser). In 2001 Kay joined RSCDS Kingston Ontario Branch and under its auspices gained her Teaching Certificate.

Kay has taught SCD at Pinewoods (a traditional dance and music camp in Plymouth, Massachusetts, beloved of Scottish country dancers) and has taught often at Mainewoods Dance Camp as well as teaching at a variety of other workshops and classes.

Also see the dance Fare Thee Well, Kay also by Ruth Taylor.
