Scottish Country Dance Instruction

1- 4 1s Advance for 2 steps, 1M+2M turn LH while 1L+4L turn RH
5- 8 1M+3L turn ¾ RH while 1L+3M turn ¾ LH, 1s meet and dance back to place. All face partners
9-12 All dance grand chain ½ way round (1 bar/hand)
13-16 All turn partner RH (or birl)
17-24 All dance double R&L:
 17-18 1s+3s change RH with opposite person while 2s+4s change RH with partner
 19-20 1s+3s change LH with partner while 2s+4s change LH with opposite person
 Repeat bars 17-20
25-32 All Advance 2 steps and touch hands in circle, Retire 2 steps (with partners). All turn partner ¾ RH and promenade 1 place clockwise round set.
