Scottish Country Dance Instruction

1- 8 1s set, cast (2s step up) and dance ½ Fig of 8 (Man with 2s and Lady with 3s) and end in 2nd place opposite side facing 1st corner
9-20 1s dance Fig of 8 Grand Chain:
 9-10 1s change places RH with 1st corners on sides (1L+3M, 1L+2M) as dancers in 2nd corner places cross diagonally RH
 11-12 1s (in 1st corner places) cross diagonally LH as others change places LH on sides,
 13-20 Continue this Fig back to place (Each Lady in top place always crosses diagonally with Man in 3rd place as others change place on sides)
21-24 1s dance ½ Fig of 8 (Man down round 3M and Lady up round 2L)
25-32 2s+1s+3s advance and retire and turn RH once round. 213
