Scottish Country Dance Instruction

A GATHERING OF THE CLAN (R4x32) Sq.Set David Croot Ness House 2 Start 2s and 4s with Lady on Man's left

1- 4 1s+3s change RH with opposite person, 1s and 3s cast (away from partner) to sides while 2s and 4s dance to their corners' positions
5- 8 1s+3s dance ½ RH across, set across with nearer hands joined with 'new' partner (Everyone has now changed places with their original corner)
9-16 All dance ½ Grand Chain giving RH to corner to start, retaining LH at end and ½ turn into St Andrews cross formation and set (1M,2L,3M,4L in centre)
17-24 All dance Double Targe:
 Centre 4 dance ¼ RH across while others chase ¼ anticlockwise, all turn partners LH and repeat all end on sides (as bar 8)
25-32 All set to 'new' partner, join hands and set across, dancers in Men's places (2M,3L,4M,1L) chase clockwise ½ round to end 4123 with 1L+3L on partner's Left
