GRANT'S RANT (R8x48) 3C (4C set) David Rutherford RSCDS Book 12

1- 8 1s lead out on Men's side, cast behind 2M, cross (2s step up) and lead out on Ladies' side, cast down behind 3L, lead up to 2nd places on own sides
9-16 2s repeat 1- 8 commencing by dancing behind 1M and end in 2nd places
17-24 1s cross RH and cast (2s step up), dance down between 3s and cast up to 2nd place on opposite sides
25-32 2s+1s+3s circle 6H round and back
33-40 1s set and dance ½ Fig of 8 round 2s to end in 2nd place on own sides
41-48 2s+1s dance R&L

Grant's Rant is a Scottish Country Dance published by Thompson in 1770 and interpreted in RSCDS Book 12 in 1938.

Many online resources attribute this to David Rutherford. It was published by John Rutherford, but Thompson published it earlier.
