IAIN'S OBSESSION (J8x40) 3C (4C set) Sue Petyt Caledonian Capers

1- 8 1s turn RH, cast 1 place, turn LH to face 1st corners
9-16 1s dance 'Hello-Goodbye' setting and end 1L facing Man's 1st corner with partner behind
17-24 1s dance Alternating Tandem ½ reel of 3 with 1st corners and Alternating Tandem ½ reel with 2nd corners
25-32 1s similarly dance ½ reel of 3 with 3rd corner (position) and ½ reel with 4th corner (position) and end in 2nd place own sides
33-40 1s dance Figs of 8 on own sides dancing up between 2s to start (giving hands where possible) while 2s+3s dance R&L changing places RH on sides to start. 213

1-4 First couple turn all the way round with the right hand and cast one place. second couple step up on bars 3 and 4
5-8 First couple turn left hand to finish facing first corners
9-16 First couple set to first corners, set to each other across the dance, set to second corners, at the end of the sixth step the first lady should be between the third couple facing up, and the first man between the second couple facing down. Using two setting steps finish, first lady facing third lady (man's first corner), and first man behind his partner ready to follow her
17-20 First couple, dancing in tandem, dance half a diagonal reel of three with first corners, first lady leads for bars 17 and 18, then first man leads for bars 19 and 20. Finish first man facing second lady, first lady behind her partner
21-24 First couple, dancing in tandem, dance half a diagonal reel of three with second corners, first man leads for bars 21 and 22, then first lady leads for bars 23 and 24. Finish first lady facing third lady (who is in second man's place), first man behind his partner
25-28 First couple, dancing in tandem, dance half a diagonal reel of three with first corners, first lady leads for bars 25 and 26, then first man leads for bars 27 and 28. Finish first man facing second lady, (who is in third man's place) first lady behind her partner
29-32 First couple, dancing in tandem, dance half a diagonal reel of three with second corners, first man leads for bars 29 and 30, then first lady leads for bars 31 and 32. Finish in second place on own sides, in the centre of the set facing up with nearer hands joined
33-40 First couple dance a figure of eight on their own sides, dancing up between the second couple, cast into second place, dance down (with nearer hands joined) between the third couple, and cast up into second place, WHILE second and third couples change right hands on the sides, left hand with partner, right hand on the sides and left hand with partner
