Scottish Country Dance Instruction

1- 8 1s cross RH, cast (2s step up), turn LH to 2nd place opposite sides
9-16 1M+2s and 1L+3s dance RH across; 1s pass RSh to dance LH across with other couple
17-24 ½ LSh reels of 3 across, 1M at top, 1L at bottom (1M+2M and 1L+3L pass LSh); 1s pass LSh and dance ½ LSh reels of 3s across with other couple
25-32 1s dance diagonal R&L (1M up/ 1L down)
33-40 3s+1s+2s turn RH (4 bars) and all chase clockwise ½ round to own side
41-48 2s+1s+3s circle 6H round and back. 213

1-8 1s cross RH cast off one place and turn partner with LH finishing 2nd place on opposite side. (2s step up on bars 3 and 4).
9-16 1M dances RH across with 2s while 1L dances RH with 3s then pass right shoulder dance LH across with other couple (1M with 3s and 1L with 2s).
17-24 1M dances half reel of 3 across the set with 2s giving LS to 2M while 1L dances half reel of 3 across the set with 3s giving LS to 3L. 1M and 1L pass LS and dance half reel of 3 with opposite couple (1M with 3s and 1L with 2s).
25-32 1s dance full diagonal rights and lefts (1M going up and 1L going down).
33-40 3s, 1s and 2s turn partners with RH for 4 bars then facing clockwise chase half way round to own side of the dance (2, 1, 3)
41-48 3 couples dance six hands round and back.

Repeat from 2nd place.
