Dance Information

This dance, A Jig With Alexandra, is named after Alexandra, a Méaudre Reel (France) dancer who started dancing SCD in 2016 when she was aged 6.

After 5 years of dancing, she offered to her school mistress, Sophie Marchand, an easy dance for the Méaudre Reel 'little ones'. The beginners' class could dance Alexandra's dance once and it was planned to be danced officially for the Méaudre Reel end of the year show in May 2020, but the Covid epidemic decided otherwise!

The suggested tune for this dance, A Jig With Alexandra, is The Creaking Gait - 32 Bar Jig By Roddy Johnston - Music Full Size

(Dance information by Sophie Marchand)
