1- 8 1s+2s dance La Girandole:
 1-4 1s+2s join hands and set, 1L+2M ¾ turn RH while 1M+2L pull back LSh and cast down/up to finish Ladies above partners in the middle of the set
 5-8 1s+2s dance RH across ¾ way and cross RH to own sides (2s finish facing out) 213
9-12 1s dance ½ RSh reels across (Man RSh to 2L, Lady RSh to 3M)
13-16 2s+1s+3s dance ½ LSh reels on the sides (1L up, 1M down). 1s finish back to back facing 1st corners (2s+3s loop into place)
17-22 1s dance "Hello-Goodbye" setting
23-24 1s Petronella to 2nd place own sides
25-32 1s dance diagonal R&L

1 - 8 1st and 2nd couples dance La Girandole:
 1 - 2 1st and 2nd couples set.
 3 - 4 1st woman and 2nd man, giving right hands, turn three quarters while 1st man casts off one place and 2nd woman casts up one place.
 5 - 8 1st and 2nd couples dance right hands across three quarters and, giving right hands, cross to own sides. 2nd couple finish facing out.
9 - 12 2nd, 1st and 3rd couples dance half reels of three across, 1st man passing 2nd woman by the right and 1st woman passing 3rd man by the right to begin.
13 - 16 2nd, 1st and 3rd couples dance half reels of three on the sides, 1st man passing 3rd man by the left and 1st woman passing 2nd woman by the left to begin. 1st couple finish back to back facing first corner positions, 2nd and 3rd couples loop into place.
17 - 22 1st couple dance set to corners and partner [hello-goodbye setting].
23 - 24 1st couple dance a petronella turn to second place own sides.
25 - 28 1st couple with 2nd man and 3rd woman dance half rights and lefts on the diagonal.
29 - 32 1st couple with 2nd woman and 3rd man dance half rights and lefts on the diagonal.

Repeat, having passed a couple.

Dance Information

Jordanhill College was one of the teacher training establishments in Scotland. Miss Milligan taught there for a number of years, retiring in 1948. Some of the students she instructed in Physical Education became known as 'Miss Milligan's Boys'.
