THE LOCHIEL STRATHSPEY (S4x32) 4C set Ruary Laidlaw One Step At A Time1- 8 All Ladies dance round partner RSh, face partner and turn RH back to place
9-16 Men repeat bars 1-8, passing Ladies LSh and turning LH
17-24 1s, followed by 2s+3s+4s, dance down nearer hands joined and cast back to places
25-32 1s turn RH, cast to 4th place (2s+3s+4s step up 27-28). 1s turn 2H (4 bars)

The Lochiel Strathspey
A 32 bar strathspey for four couples in a longwise set.
1 - 8 All four ladies dance across the set and, passing their partners by the right shoulder, dance round to face them, and then their partner by the right hand for four steps back to original places.
9-16 All the men repeat the movement passing their partners by the left shoulders and turning with the left hands.
17-24 The first couple, followed by the second, third and fourth couples, dance down the middle for four steps and then cast back up to original places.
25-32 First couple turn with the right hand for two steps and then cast off for two steps to the bottom of the set, second, third and fourth couples move up on bars 3 and 4 of the 8-bar phrase.
First couple then turn with both hands for four steps at the bottom of the set to finish in fourth place.
