MacDonald's Rant (S8x32) 3C (4C set) 32 bar Strathspey for 3 Couples in a 4 Couple Set, devised by J Young (1740) Published In Scottish Country Dances of The 18th Century.

1- 8 1st couple dance half mirror reels of three on the sidelines, starting in and down
 Then lead up, cross to own sides and cast down to 2nd place. 3(1)2
9-16 1st couple dance half mirror reels of three on the sidelines again, beginning in and down to end in 2nd place
 Then 2nd and 1st couples dance rights and lefts with one step per hand
 1st couple finish facing 1st corners
17-24 1st couple set to 1st corner, turn with both hands 1½ opening to face 2nd corner
 Then set to 2nd corner and dance a circle of three to the left, releasing hands to finish. 2(1)3
25-32 1st man with 2nd couple and 1st lady with 3rd couple dance 6-bar reels of three across, passing left shoulder
 1st couple cross right hand to own side to finish. 213
