1- 8 1s+2s also 3s+4s dance ½ St Andrew's Cross formation:
 1- 4 1s+2s (also 3s+4s) face diagonally in, dance in 1 step, turn ¼ right about and dance out (all have moved 1 place round anticlockwise), All set (4 bars)
 5- 8 1s+2s also 3s+4s repeat. (2)(1)(4)(3)
9-16 All nearer hands joined on sides advance (1 step), Retire (2 steps), advance (1 step); 1s+2s also 3s+4s dance ½ RH across back to original places
17-24 1s nearer hands joined face down and make arch, 2s, 3s and 4s face up nearer hands joined, all set as 2s (bar 18), 3s (bar 20) and 4s (bar 22) dance up under arch made by 1s. Bars 23-24 all 4 couples turn LH
25-32 2s+3s+4s make arches 1s dance up under arches followed by 4s, 3s and 2s; 1s cast to 4th place own sides, 2s loop round back into 1st place. 2341
