Miss Nancy Frowns - Scottish Country Dancing Instruction VideoDance Information
Miss Nancy Frowns is a Scottish Country Dance published by Johnson in c. 1752 and interpreted by the RSCDS in Book 14, published 1947.(Dance information copyright, reproduced here with the kind permission of George Williams)
This dance may be found in Thompson's Compleat Collection of 200 Favourite Country Dances, c. 1755.
It is titled 'Miss Nancy Frowns', so the frown is clearly referring to Miss Nancy's expression, not her surname.
