Miss Rough Of Longbank A thirty-two bar Jig for two couples in a longwise set. Devised by John W Mitchell, Published in Whetherly Book 13.
1- 2 First man casts down and second lady casts up.
3- 4 First man and second lady change places up and down the set giving right hands.
5- 6 First man casts off behind his partner as second lady casts up behind her partner.
7- 8 First and second ladies turn with the right hand, as do first and second men.
9-10 First lady casts down behind her partner as second man casts up behind his partner to face up and down.
11-12 First lady and second man change places giving left hand.
13-14 First lady casts down behind second lady as second man casts up behind first man.
15-16 Second and first couples cross to own side giving right hand in passing.
17-24 Four hands round to the left in a circle and back to the right.
25-32 Second and first couples dance rights and lefts.
Repeat from second place.
