Scottish Country Dance Instruction
Mixed Nuts - 32J2 couple facing couple in a circle round the room. Linda Mae DennisFirst couples face anticlockwise, 2nd couples face clockwise. Men have their partner on the right.
1-2 1st man and 2nd woman turn with right hands to finish with 1st man between 2nd couple, facing his partner - 2nd man gives left hand to 1st man.
3-6 1st man with 2nd couple make arches and balance in line while 1st woman dances under the arches and round her partner to return to place, passing first between the two men.
7-8 1st man and 2nd woman turn with right hands to original places.
9-16 2nd man turning 1st woman with right hands, repeat bars 1-8, 2nd woman dancing under the arches.
17-20 1st couple dance between 2nd couple, separate and cast round them back to place.
21-24 2nd couple dance similarly between and round 1st couple.
25-32 All advance for 2 bars, retire for 2 bars and pass through to meet the next couple.
Repeat from new places.
