Dance Information

Nickie Tam (plural Nickie Tams) (Also Nicky Tams) is the name given to a pair of straps or lengths of string tied below the knee, over trousers.

This raises the trousers above the level of farmyard dirt to prevent the ingress of dust and vermin up the trouser leg.

This jig, Nickie Tams, also shares its title with the Nickie Tams - Song.
