Dance Information

Not I is a Scottish Country Dance. It was interpreted by the RSCDS in Book 28, 1977.

Book 28 says that this dance derives from a book of dances called "Caledonian Country Dances" published in about 1754, with a note saying that this book can no longer be found.

Book 10 suggests that the book in question is actually "Caledonian Country Dances, Vol 2" published by John Johnson.
