PUNTING ON THE CAM (S4x32) 4C Set Richard Francis Class of '131- 4 1M+2L also 3M+4L set advancing to each other and ¾ turn RH to finish back to back on 2nd corner diagonal while 1L+2M also 3L+4M dance anticlockwise round the set to change places to finish facing own partner on the diagonal
5- 8 1s+2s also 3s+4s dance ½ RSh reels of 4 to finish in original positions (Middle dancers pass partners RSh and dance down/up the set to original positions). 1234
9-16 1s and 3s dance down 2 bars, turn partner 2H (2 bars); dance up and cast to 2nd/4th places facing up (2s+4s step up 15-16). 2143
17-24 All dance reflection reels of 4 on the side (Men pass LSh and Ladies pass RSh to begin)
25-32 1s+3s+4s dance the Knot. 2341

PUNTING ON THE CAM A Strathspey for four couples
1-4 1st man, 2nd lady and 3rd man, 4th lady set advancing to each other and turn RH three quarters to finish back to back on the second corner diagonal while 1st lady, 2nd man and 3rd lady, 4th man dance anticlockwise round the set to change places and finish facing their own partner on the diagonal.
5-8 First and second couples, third and fourth couples dance half a reel of four, passing right shoulder to begin and finish in original positions (Middle people pass partners by the right shoulder and dance down/up the set to original positions).
9-16 First couple and third couple dance down for 2 bars, turn both hands for 2 bars, dance up for 2 bars and cast into second and fourth places facing up (second and fourth couples step up on bars 15-16).
17-24 Reflection reels of four on the side (men passing left shoulder, ladies passing right shoulder to begin).
25-32 First, third and fourth couples dance the knot.
Finishing order 2341.
Repeat from new positions.

This dance has been devised for Tom Ibbotson, whose wife, Lynsey, is also an accomplished musician. Tom lives in Cambridge, so I hope the title is appropriate. Tom wanted a 4 couple strathspey containing the knot.(Dance information by the deviser, Richard Francis, 2013)
