PZ 40 (R4x40) 4C set Penny Gay2 chords - 2nd chord 4s cross to opposite sides
1- 8 2s turn RH 1½ times to face 1st corners, 2s dance ½ diagonal reel of 4 with 1st corners and pass RSh to face 2nd corners
9-16 2s dance ½ reel of 4 with 2nd corners and turn RH to 2nd place opposite sides. (3)2(1)(4)
17-24 2s+1s dance ½ R&L. 3s+1s also 2s+4s dance ½ R&L (giving RH on sides to start) (1)34(2)
25-32 1s+4s (1st and 3rd places) dance Ladies' Chain (up/down)
33-40 1s+3s set and dance ¾ double Fig of 8 (3s cross up and 1s cast) while 4s+2s dance full double Fig of 8 (2s cross up and 4s cast) 314(2)

This reel, PZ 40 (PZ40), was devised by Penny Gay in 2002 to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the founding of the Penzance Scottish Country Dancers Club.Locally there have also been a couple of small boats with the Registration PZ 40 located around St Ives Harbour and Mounts Bay.
