THE REEL TAY DANCERS (R8x40) 3C (4C set) Muriel Boal

1- 8 1s lead down (3 bars), lead up, cross and cast (2s step up 7-8)
9-16 ½ diagonal R&L (1M up, 1L down to start) while 2L and 3M chase clockwise half way to change places. 1s dance RH across (1L with 3s in 1st place, 1M with 2s in 3rd place)
17-24 LSh reels of 3 across (Man down, Lady up). 1s pass LSh to face 1st corners (position)
25-32 1s+1st corners dance ½ diagonal reel of 4, 1s pass LSh and 1s+2nd corners (position) dance ½ diagonal reel of 4, 1s pass RSh to end 2nd place own side
33-40 2s+1s+3s circle 6H round and back

9-16 1s dance half diagonal rights and lefts (man up lady down) WHILE 2W and 3M chase clockwise half way to change places. 1M with 2s in 3rd place and 1W with 3s in 1st place dance RH across
17-24 1s dance reels of 3 across the dance 1M gives LS to 2M and 1W gives LS to 3W. (1st couple go to the couple on their right for the reel across the dance)
25-32 1s pass each other LS to give RS to first corner position for half diagonal reel of 4. 1s pass each other LS to face second corner position and give RS for half diagonal reel of 4 then passing each other RS to own side of dance.
33-40 3 couples dance six hands round and back

This dance, The Reel Tay Dancers, was devised by Muriel Boal to commemorate the Tay Dancers completing 100 dance videos.

On Sunday afternoons, Irene Geoghegan and her husband Tom gather with a group of friends in an Angus village hall to engage in Scottish country dancing practice.

Referred to collectively as the Tay Dancers, the group consistently shares videos of their dance routines online. Their aim is to inspire individuals of varying ages to participate in organized Scottish country dances or ceilidhs.

The popularity of the Tay Dancers has grown significantly, attracting followers not only from the United Kingdom but also from 50 different countries globally, spanning regions such as the Far East and Australia. The group's online presence has made them sought after, reaching a diverse and international audience interested in Scottish country dancing.
