Scottish Country Dance Instruction

RETURN TO BROADFORD BAY (R8x32) 2C (4C set) John Morris Vallin Collection 1

1- 8 1s+2s circle 4H round to Left then 1s+2s dance RH across back to places
9-16 1s+2s set, dance ¾ L&R (cross LH with partner, RH on side, cross LH with partner) all face anticlockwise
17-20 2M+1L turn 1½ RH to change places and face clockwise as partners chase anticlockwise ½ round and face in
21-24 2L+1M turn 1¾ LH to face partner on 1st corner diagonal as partner chase clockwise ½ round to face partner
25-32 1s+2s dance diagonal reel of 4 (on 1st corner diagonal) At end 2L+1M do not pass LSh but curve right, polite turn to face partner

When danced as a 4 couple set, it is recommended that both 1s and 3s start the two couple dance sequence.

Dance Information
