Scottish Country Dance Instruction

ROYAL STIRLING SQUARE (S4x32) Sq.Set John Wilkinson, 1996

1- 8 All Men dance in to centre, pull back RSh to face partner and set; All turn partner RH to original places and ½ turn corner LH to finish facing coner (all on 'diagonals' between original place and corner place)
9-16 All dance interlocking reels of 4 passing corner LSh (pass 3 persons, turn about, continue reel back to place) and on bar 14 turn partner RH into original place but with Lady on Man's left, all facing in
17-24 All Ladies dance ½ LH across (slow) to face opposite Man; All set and turn new partners 2H to reform square, Lady on Man's left
25-32 Top and bottom couples advance for 2 steps and retire to sides with own partner while side couples (facing 'new' partner) retire individually to top/bottom and dance to meet own partner; All set and link (all now 1 place on clockwise). 4123
