9-16 1s turn 1st corners RH, turn partner LH ¾ and dance RH across (Lady with 2s and Man with 3s) end passing LSh to face 2nd corners
17-24 1s turn 2nd corners LH, turn partner RH ¾ and dance LH across (Man with 2s and Lady with 3s) end 2nd place own sides
25-28 1s+3s set, 1L dances down and curves left to 3rd place as 1M casts down to 3rd place while 3L casts up and 3M dances up 1 place
29-32 3s+1s circle 4H round to right

This strathspey, The Sands Of Forvie, was dedicated to the memory of Margaret Kendall who loved Forvie (Aberdeenshire). She was a dancer, teacher and artist.The Sands of Forvie is a nature reserve north of Newburgh in Aberdeenshire in the northeast of Scotland which has an expanse of sand dunes, underneath which lies a village buried in a sandstorm over four centuries ago.
Forvie National Nature Reserve has the fifth largest sand dune system in Britain, and the least disturbed by human activity.
