The title of this dance, She's Ower Young To Marry Yet, is associated with I'm O'er Young To Marry Yet - Poem written by Robert Burns in 1788, which was inspired by the 1700s tune, I'm O'er Young To Marry Yet.

Chorus
I'm o'er young to marry yet;
I'm o'er young to marry yet;
I'm o'er young-'twad be a sin
To tak' me frae my mammy yet.
