Scottish Country Dance Instruction

SKYELINE (S8x32) 3C (4C set) Fiona MacDonald Dedicated Dancing

1- 8 1s set advancing, turn 2H ½ way to face up, cast off one place and turn LH to give RH to 1st corners
9-12 Highland Schottische Balance-in-Line with 1st corners while 2nd corners Highland Schottische set:
 9 With hands joined as normal Balance-in-Line all dance 1st bar of Highland Schottische pointing with right foot and weight on Left foot
 10 Centre couple drop LH and all move to right joining LH with corners (under their RH) then drop RH and corners join RH in centre
 11-12 All repeat Highland Schottische with left foot and drop hands in centre, all move to left to bring original centre couple into centre to join LH again and face 2nd corners
13-16 1s dance ½ fig of 8 round 2nd corners passing LSh, turn LH to give RH to 2nd corners
17-20 Highland Schottische Balance-in-Line with 2nd corners while 1st corners Highland Schottische set
21-24 1s dance ½ fig of 8 passing 3rd corners LSh to finish 1M between 2s facing down, 1L between 3s facing up
25-32 In lines of 3 across, advance (1 step) and retire (1 step) twice, 1s turn 2H ¾ and twirl out to own sides 2nd place.

21 - 24 ½ fig of 8 LSh round 2rd corners, curving round to finish M between 2s facing down and L between 3s facing up
25 - 32 in lines of 3 across advance (1 step) and retire (1 step) twice, 1s TB and twirl out to own sides 2nd place
