Scottish Country Dance Instruction

1- 8 1s turn RH 1½ times moving down to face 2s and dance the Spurtle:
 1s dance ½ reel of 4 with 2s and turn partner RH to face 3s
9-16 1s dance ½ reel of 4 with 3s and turn partner RH to face 4s, 1s dance ½ reel of 4 with 4s and turn RH to 4th place opposite sides. (2)(3)(4)(1)
17-20 All set and link for 4:
 2L+1M (left end of lines) turn LH and curve to left end of lines across while the other dancers cast and chase clockwise into lines across
21-24 2L leads Ladies into 4H round to left at top as 1M leads Men into 4H round at bottom
25-28 2L also 1M lead Ladies/Men down/up own sides and advance to meet partner then retire. 1432
29-32 All set and 1s+4 also 3s+2s Link for 2 to end 4123
