Strathspey 8 x 32 bars 2 Couple Repeat 4 Couple Set Longwise Set
1-4 CROSS AND CAST: 1st woman and 2nd man cross with right hands and cast to the right around partner back to place;
5-8 WHEEL: 1st and 2nd couple dance right hands across;
9-12 CROSS AND CAST: 1st man and 2nd woman cross with left hands and cast to the left around partner back to place;
13-16 WHEEL: 1st and 2nd couple dance left hands across, ending in a circle;
17-24 SET AND CIRCLE: 1st and 2nd couples set and circle left for two steps, set and circle left for another two steps ending in original places;
25-32 ESPAGNOLE: 1st and 2nd couple dance the Espagnole (1st and 2nd women join nearer hands and dance forward and cross over 2nd woman passing in front of 1st woman AS 1st and 2nd men dance to partner's place, join nearer hands dance back to own side crossing over 2nd man passing in front of 1st man [4 bars]; then turn partner once around, 2nd couple with right hands, and 1st couple with left hands [4 bars]).
Repeat having passed a couple.

Dance Notes
As with all dances having the format, 2-Couple Repeat in a 4-Couple Set, if dancer numbers so dictate it can be performed in a 3-Couple or 5-Couple Set and with the number of repeats adjusted appropriately.(Dance notes by Reuben Freemantle)
