Dance Information

Unit 5 is the second and final "live" teaching part of the RSCDS teaching exams.

To pass this exam and achieve their coveted RSCDS teacher qualification candidates must teach a 32 bar RSCDS dance, at intermediate level, to the satisfaction of the examiners. The pupils learning this dance are often called "stooges"- helpful dancers who are recruited by the RSCDS branch or Summer School organisers (whichever is running the Unit 5 course) to play the part of intermediate learners. Pupils may indeed include real intermediate learners or be advanced dancers acting as if.
