Scottish Country Dance Instruction

1-8 1C and 3C dance full figure of eight, 1C around 2C and 3C around 4C, ending 1C in center of dance at first position facing down and 3C in center of dance at third position facing up.
9-16 1C and 3C set, dance RH across halfway round, set turning on second bar to end facing partner, then turn partner by LH to own sides, ending 3, 2, 1, 4.
17-20 2C and 4C turn partner once round by RH in 2 bars to end 2C in center of dance facing down, 4C in center of dance facing up; 2C and 4C set.
21-28 2C and 4C dance rights and lefts up and down the dance, ending 2C and 4C facing up.
29-32 2C and 4C turn person above them in the dance 1½ times round, 2W LH with 3W, 2M RH with 3M, 4W LH with 1W, 4M RH with 1M to end 2, 3, 4, 1.

Repeat.
