Slip Down
To Slip down in a Quick tempo dance only, two Scottish Country Dancers, usually a Couple, Take Both hands and Travel Down the Centre line of The set to the designated Finishing Position or for the designated number of bars, using Slip step.Here are examples of those Scottish Country Dances for which we have instructions on this site and in which the term, Slip down, either appears explicitly or is implied; note that for a common term these will be a small selection; for a rare term, these may be all that exist:
