Time Allocations

Most Figures are allocated a fixed number of bars of music and are listed without comment.

Some have an alternative Time allocation; for example, Reels of three are normally performed in 8 bars but sometimes only 6 bars are allocated so that a 2-bar Figure can be fitted into the 8-bar Phrase at the beginning or the end.

A few Figures, such as Lead down and Cast have a variable allocation depending upon the distance to be Travelled; some explanation is provided under the standard allocation.
