CASTING GLANCES (S8x32) 2C (4C set) Tim Wilson Solstice Party Book

1- 8 1M+2L dance diagonal Fig of 8 (start passing LH and dance LSh round own partner, pass RH to dance RSh round others partner)
9-16 1s+2s set, 1L casts 1 place and 2M casts up 1 place while 1M+2L cross into partner's place, 1s set to 2s (across), 1M casts 1 place and 2L casts up 1 place while 2M+1L ¾ turn RH
17-24 1s+2s diagonal reel of 4 (each passing partner RSh to start), 2M+1L end passing LSh to face partner (diagonally)
25-32 2s+1s ½ turn 2H and dance Diamond Poussette

Casting Glances 32 Bar Strathspey for 2 couples Tim Wilson

Bars 1 - 8 First man and second woman dance a figure of eight: giving left hands to pass, cast left around partners; giving right hands to pass, cast right around neighbors back to place.
Bars 9 - 10 First and second couples set to partners.
Bars 11 - 12 First woman casts down one place and second man casts up one place, while first man and second woman dance across the set into partner's place.
Bars 13 - 14 Facing across the set, first and second couples set to one another.
Bars 15 - 16 First man casts down one place and second woman casts up one place, while second man and first woman turn ¾ giving right hands.
Bars 17 - 24 First and second couples dance an 8-bar reel of four on the diagonal giving right shoulders to their partners to begin. Second man and first woman complete the reel with a left shoulder pass. End facing partners on the diagonal, men facing up and women facing down.
Bars 25 - 32 Second and first couples poussette right round:
 25 Taking both hands with their partners, first and second couples turn ½ to change places. Men are now facing down and women facing up on the diagonal. The turn replaces the usual step in from the sidelines needed to form a diagonal line. (First woman and second man have foot changes.)
 26-32 First and second couples dance bars 2-8 of a poussette right round.
