1- 8 1s set, cross passing RSh and cast 2 places, dance up round 3s to face 1st corners (2s step up 5-6)
9-16 1s dance 'Hello-Goodbye' setting and Petronella turn to 2nd place own sides
17-24 1s dance ½ diagonal reel of 4 with 1st corners, pass RSh and dance ½ diagonal reel of 4 with 2nd corners to end in 2nd place on opposite sides. (3)(1)(2)
25-32 3s+1s+2s chase clockwise ½ round; all turn partner (birl). 213

This reel, The Amateur Epidemiologist, was devised by Andrew Oliver during the 2020 Covid-19 lock-down period when the whole nation [New Zealand] became amateur epidemiologists and discussed difficult matters such as community transmission, flattening the curve and social distancing.
