Scottish Country Dance Instruction
Autumn Celebration 32 bar Strathspey for a 3 couple set. Trudy Roughgarden1-8: All 3 couples set twice, all ½ turn and twirl (ending on opposite sides with ladies facing up, men facing down).
9-16: All Chase clockwise ½ way (ending on own sides 321)
1's turn with both hands ½ way, then melt into a R. shoulder gypsy once around each other to end facing first corners (2's dance down on bars 5-6 of phrase)
17-24: Corner pass and turn (1's end on own side in 2nd place)
25-32: Circle 6 hands round and back. Ending 312, ready to begin again

Dance Notes
Bars 13-16 - the 1's (at the bottom of the set) turn with both hands, moving up, to end in the center on the diagonal...with their backs to their first corners (2 bars)... about ½ turn for the woman and ¾ for the man. Then they are in position to gypsy once around each other (bars 15-16) spiraling out to flow into the corner pass and turn.Dance Instruction Videos
