Back To The Barn 5X32 Reel for 5C by Sue McKinnell1-8 1C cross down between 2C who step up, cast down behind 3C, cross down between 4C, and cast up behind 4C into 4th place
WHILE 5C cast up behind 4C who step down, cross up between 3C, cast up behind 2C, and cross down between 2C into 2nd place.
9-12 All set on the sides, then 1C and 5C turn by the left hand to face 2nd corners.
13-16 1C and 5C dance a half diagonal reel of four with 2nd corners, passing partners right shoulder in the center to face their partners' 1st corner positions.
17-24 1C and 5C repeat bars 13-16 two more times, dancing first with the people in partners' 1st corner positions, then with the people in their partners' 2nd corner positions. 1C end in 4th place and 5C end in 2nd place. The order is now 4, 5, 3, 1, 2.
25-32 4C change places on the sides with 5C, RH on the women's side, LH on the men's side. 4C change places on the sides with 3C, LH on the women's side, RH on the men's side. 4C change places on the sides with 1C, RH on the women's side, LH on the men's side. 4C change places on the sides with 2C, LH on the women's side, RH on the men's side. (It is RLRL on the women's side, LRLR on the men's side.) The order is now 5, 3, 1, 2, 4.
Repeat 5 times.

Back To The Barn is a celebration of the return of the Chicago RSCDS' Silk and Thistle class to the Fermilab barn for their weekly dancing (2005).Fermilab is the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory just outside Batavia, Illinois, Chicago. It has a vibrant Folk Club which sponsors and promotes folk and country dancing.
